In February this year I lost my dear friend Luke Rickett after a gallant battle with stomach cancer. On 20th August Luke should have been celebrating his 50th birthday. To mark this day I have decided to run from Arsenal Football Club’s Emirates Stadium to Holmer Green Cricket Club, two clubs that were very close to Luke’s heart, with running a big passion of his. The route is around 50km which is fitting for what would have been his 50th birthday. Having spoken with his family, we all feel it fitting that any money can I raise should be split between Rennie Grove Hospice (now known as Rennie Grove Peace) and Holmer Green Cricket Club (also a registered charity with HMRC).
