Support our 24-hour community swim as we raise vital funds for two incredible charities: St Francis Hospice (Romford) and Dementia UK.
Following the success of our 2024 fundraiser, we know just how impactful coming together can be. This year, we are setting our sights even higher, and we thank you for your incredible support.
About the CharitiesSt Francis Hospice: A local, independent charity providing expert palliative and end-of-life care. The Hospice has cared for several of our own swimmers, and we are proud to support their invaluable work.
Dementia UK: A specialist nursing charity. Their "Admiral Nurses" provide life-changing support and advice to families affected by dementia across GP practices, hospitals, and care homes.
How Your Donation Helps£15.53 can provide art materials for a bereaved child.£37.39 can pay for one hour of care on a hospice ward.£250.00 can fund an Admiral Nurse for a day to support families.£299.12 can provide eight hours of specialist hospice care.£1,393.00 can fund five Admiral Nurses to run their national helpline on a Sunday.
About the EventThis is not a competitive swimming event, it is a celebration of community. You do not need to be a strong swimmer or super fit to get involved, or a regular swimmer at Luxborough Lake, you just need to be able to swim.
The event is divided into 24 'waves'. Participants can swim as far as they like during their 50-minute slot, swimmers can sign up for as many 'waves' as they want to to challenge themselves.
Ages: 12+ (Note: Night sessions from 9pm–6am are strictly for ages 18+).
