London Marathon 2026 – Running in Memory of Rob Casson and Lois Waters 🤍

On 26th April, I’ll be running the London Marathon — my very first (and last) marathon.

Training has been tough. Some days feel heavy, both physically and emotionally. But this run means more to me than just finishing 26.2 miles.

I’m running in memory of our two very special friends, Rob and Lois. Even though they didn’t know each other, they shared something so similar — both were the life and soul of any room. full of so much energy, laughter and never too far from the music!! They could make you belly laugh, without even trying!

Both were heartbreakingly taken from us in 2025, leaving their families and friends so devastated. They are deeply missed by so many of us 🤍

This marathon is my way of honouring them, remembering their incredible energy, and carrying a small piece of that spirit with me every step of the way.

I’m raising money and awareness for two charities chosen by their families:

💛 The Stroke Association – an incredible charity chosen by Rob’s wife, Ellen, providing vital support, research, and care for stroke survivors and their families.

💛 Love Jasmine – a beautiful charity chosen by Lois’s parents, set up to support parents who have lost a son or daughter, offering compassion, understanding, and a community no one ever expects to need.

If you’re able to donate, no matter how small, it would mean the world — not just to me, but to the families and charities this run is for. And if you can’t donate, sharing this page or cheering me on means just as much.

Thank you for supporting me, for remembering Rob (UTFT) and Lois (YNWA) and for helping turn something incredibly painful into something that can help others 🤍

Love, Jasmine was established by Rob and Kathy Lapsley following the death of their daughter Jasmine in August 2014. Their experiences following Jasmine’s death meant that they had a greater understanding of the types of support that should be available for families who have lost a child and they set up a charity that they felt would meet those needs.
