One climb. Three charities. Thousands of lives changed.

In August, a group of lifelong friends and family will take on one of the world’s toughest challenges: climbing Mount Kilimanjaro. This isn’t just about reaching the summit, it’s about pushing through discomfort, supporting one another, and standing with those who face far greater challenges every day. At 5,895 metres, Kilimanjaro will test us physically and mentally. There will be moments of exhaustion, doubt, and vulnerability, moments that reflect what so many people experience when living with mental health challenges or trying to rebuild their lives. That’s why we’re climbing: to raise vital funds for charities that provide life-changing mental health support and practical skills that restore confidence, independence, and hope. The charities we’re supporting: • Mind (National) – improving mental health support across the UK (https://www.mind.org.uk/) • Oxfordshire Mind – supporting mental wellbeing in our local community (https://www.oxfordshiremind.org.uk/) • Tools for Self Reliance – empowering people with practical skills and tools to build sustainable livelihoods (https://www.tfsr.org/) All donations to this page are shared between the charities. Funds are split equally by default, but you’re welcome to choose how your donation is shared if you wish. We’ll be training hard, fundraising together, and pushing ourselves far outside our comfort zones but that effort is nothing compared to what many people face in silence. Your support helps ensure that when someone reaches their lowest point, they’re not alone whether that’s through a helpline, a safe place in a crisis, or the tools to build a better future. Our goal: £10,000. With your help, we’ll reach the summit and help others find their way forward. Thank you for being part of this climb. 🏔️ The real-world impact your donation will have (data 2024/25) *Mind (National)*: Changing the national picture • 22 million people accessed life-saving mental health information online
• 116,000 helpline calls were answered, offering a lifeline to those stuck on NHS waiting lists
• 88,000 people found connection and support through the Side by Side online community, reducing isolation and loneliness *Oxfordshire Mind:* Supporting our local community • 1,000+ young people were supported through the Mental Wealth Academy to build resilience
• 2,472 same-day crisis sessions were provided to people at their lowest point through Safe Haven
• 87 people were given safe, supported housing to prevent homelessness and aid recovery *Tools for Self Reliance:* Empowering through practical skills By providing refurbished tools and vocational training, this charity helps people in Africa and the UK learn trades from carpentry to tailoring enabling them to build sustainable livelihoods, independence, and dignity.
