In August, a group of lifelong friends and family will take on one of the world’s toughest challenges: climbing Mount Kilimanjaro.
This isn’t just about reaching the summit, it’s about pushing through discomfort, supporting one another, and standing with those who face far greater challenges every day.
At 5,895 metres, Kilimanjaro will test us physically and mentally. There will be moments of exhaustion, doubt, and vulnerability, moments that reflect what so many people experience when living with mental health challenges or trying to rebuild their lives. That’s why we’re climbing: to raise vital funds for charities that provide life-changing mental health support and practical skills that restore confidence, independence, and hope.
The charities we’re supporting:
• Mind (National) – improving mental health support across the UK (https://www.mind.org.uk/)
• Oxfordshire Mind – supporting mental wellbeing in our local community (https://www.oxfordshiremind.org.uk/)
• Tools for Self Reliance – empowering people with practical skills and tools to build sustainable livelihoods (https://www.tfsr.org/)
All donations to this page are shared between the charities. Funds are split equally by default, but you’re welcome to choose how your donation is shared if you wish.
We’ll be training hard, fundraising together, and pushing ourselves far outside our comfort zones but that effort is nothing compared to what many people face in silence. Your support helps ensure that when someone reaches their lowest point, they’re not alone whether that’s through a helpline, a safe place in a crisis, or the tools to build a better future.
Our goal: £10,000.With your help, we’ll reach the summit and help others find their way forward. Thank you for being part of this climb. 🏔️
