2026 is the 150th anniversary of the Sheffield Children’s Hospital (SCH) and to celebrate the SCH Charity is launching the Pride of Yorkshire campaign (https://prideofyorkshire.org/) which will cite 300 colourful lion sculptures across the region. NGIS has pledged to raise at least £950 towards their £2.8 million target, which will contribute to vital improvements across SCH and ensure it remains at the forefront of children’s health.
The Sponsored Pancake Toss will take place on Friday 13th February. As the Pancake Toss is just one day after Sheffield Children Hospital’s Hospital Charity’s Theo’s Pyjama Day (https://events.tchc.org.uk/event/theospjday2026/home) we’re inviting children get their pyjamas on with their sports shoes, and get their pancake tossing skills at the ready!! In their teams they will be challenged to toss as many “pancakes” as they can in just 1 minute!
Sponsorship forms have been sent home in book bags and sponsorship can be made in cash or directly to this site. All proceeds will be split 50/50 between the NGIS PTA and the Pride of Yorkshire campaign. This is a flipping awesome (sorry!) opportunity for families and friends to support two great causes, so please do spread the word and encourage sponsors to give as generously as they can!
