Hey guys!
Thanks for taking the time to visit my GiveWheel page.
I have a mission… My mission is to run 30 marathons in 30 consecutive days.
I’m taking on this challenge in order to raise money for the mental health charities MIND and SAMH and also for BackUpTech, an entertainment industry charity that supports people in the entertainment and events industry which I have a lot of involvement with.
The challenge is proudly supported by my employer, Crewsaders; a UK-based events workforce company with a strong commitment and investment in mental health and wellbeing in high-pressure working environments.
I’d love for you to join me on my mission.
Mental health isn’t just a buzz word. The health of a persons mind sets the scene for their overall experience of life. We can’t be happy all the time. It’s not realistic. it’s just not how life works. There is a time for happiness and joy but there is also a time for sorrow and grief and uncertainty. But as we move through these natural curves, contours and cycles of life, what we really need is a mind that serves us, doesn't work against us, and allows us to lead a life of adventure, not struggle.
We all have ups and downs, that’s part of the human experience but mental health issues are on the rise. From mood disorders and anxiety to loneliness and addiction. All of these can be debilitating, robbing people of their peace, their ability to maintain relationships, live a fulfilling life and in some cases even to function properly from day to day.
We live at a frantic pace these days. The rise of social media, breakdown of communities, financial and lifestyle expectations, economic stress, rising prices, lack of green spaces in cities, the lack of emphasis on exercise for good mental health and the food industries shameless pushing of ultra processed, nutrient poor foods all play a role.
But there is one role that I can play. Its only a small role but if I can only play a small role, and make a small change, then I want to do it in an Epic way.
And so im going to run 30 marathons in 30 consecutive days from the Isle of Skye on the west coast of Scotland to London. Its a mammoth challenge and one that i’m both looking forward to facing and if i’m honest, terrified of 😂.
Please support me and my chosen charities by making a donation. Every little helps and I will truly appreciate every penny.
25-50% of people will experience a mental health challenge over the course of their life. I certainly have. I’ve been blessed with an incredible family and amazing friends who have offered me so much support in my darker times. Now i’d like to do my part to make a difference for others.
please join me on my mission.
Thanks for reading Big loveDavid
