Our daughter Charlotte was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia in October 2025. She is currently undergoing extensive chemotherapy treatments with an aim to cure this disease. When diagnosed we were aware her hair could come out due to such extensive treatment and stated if it did we would shave our heads. Due to treatment her hair has thinned and come out in places. So to support here we are shaving our heads and raise money for 2 amazing hospices that provide valuable services to patients with a palliative prognosis and the patients families. These hospices heavily rely on donations to keep these services running. So every penny counts....
As a family this is not the first member of our family to be diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia, my cousins daughter Lil Hunter was also diagnosed with this and went on to be patient number 1 for trial of the CAR T therapy. Sadly Lil lost her battle but left a legacy, due to her selfless act being patient 1 in theTrial, which is now being used as a cure for others, including possibly her cousin.
Lil started her diagnosis Journey in Clatterbridge hospital which St John's hospice is attached to. We have also chosen St Kentigerns Hospice because that is our local hospice which we have supported over the years and we know how invaluable the hospice staff and services are to the community and how without private donations these services may not exist.
Thank you so much to all of you for donating to 2 such worthy causes.
