Because we're a bit simple, both Joe and I have signed up for a 10k Tough Mudder at Broughton Castle, Skipton on 30.7.23 - we're taking embarrassing dads to a new level! It will be hard, filthy and funny - but enough about Joe.

We've chosen two charities that mean something to each of us: Sue Ryder Manorlands & Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation.

Sue Ryder Manorlands (Joe):

This Charity is very close to me as it cared for my Mum at the last important stage of her life and made her and us very welcoming and warming . They also provide this for the local community where it's helped thousands of family’s who go through this .

Also I am the arm wresting champion of Manorlands 2016.

Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation (Darren):
===================================

Both my parents passed away from lung cancer, and this is the only charity that specifically tackles lung cancer. Hopefully anything we raise will help towards better understanding of this hideous disease, and lead to better treatment for patients.
