Ready to take part in something amazing?
Grab yourself a team of 6 swimmers and make a splash for Kangaroos and your chosen charity by joining our inclusive Swimarathon.
Celebrating over 40 years of community spirit, with thanks to the Haywards Heath Lions, Kangaroos are thrilled to host the legendary Swimarathon for 2026.
Whether you’re a seasoned swimmer or simply love a challenge, this is your chance to make waves for causes that matter. By taking part, you’ll help us bring colour to the lives of people with disabilities, whilst also fundraising for your chosen charity too.
Last year, swimmers raised an incredible £20,000. There are no limits on who can enter — all ages and abilities are welcome! Families, friends, local businesses, community groups and schools are all encouraged to take part.
Why join the swim?Every lap you swim helps Kangaroos provide life-changing recreational activities for people with learning disabilities across Mid Sussex, as well as giving you the opportunity to nominate a second charity to share in the funds you raise.
If you prefer to donate all funds raised to Kangaroos, this is also possible and will be gratefully received.
How it works? To join the Swimarathon, form a team of 6 swimmers and book your timeslot by clicking on the Green "ticket/ donate" button. Choose your preferred time slot and accessible lane if required.
Your team will swim for 55 minutes. Compete against other teams to swim the most laps in your category, or choose to swim in a fun. non competitive format if preferred.*
There is no minimum sponsorship required, however, why not challenge your team to raise £500 or more!
Teams will swim between 8am and 6pm, with hourly changeovers.
*Kangaroos Swimarathon is an inclusive event where anyone confident in water out of their depth can take part, with the option to use swimming aids or have a buddy alongside them.
