475km hike in aid of Crohn's and colitis UK and The Brain tumour charity
1080
On the 26th of August I will begin a 4 week, 475km, hike along the whole of the Cornish coastline, Starting in Plymouth and finishing in Welcombe. I will be walking this route in aid of two charities which are close to my heart. Donations will be split evenly between the two charities.
After being diagnosed with ulcerative colitis myself 6 years ago, I became aware of Crohn's and Colitis UK, and the fantastic work they do. Having suffered myself, I know how important it is to raise awareness and provide support to sufferers and their families. They are also involved in valuable research into this condition.
The second charity I have chosen is The Brain Tumor Charity. My sister and family have been directly affected by this form of cancer when her husband Nick was diagnosed with an aggressive brain tumor in 2020 and sadly passed away in May 2021, leaving her and 2 young children.
If you are able to make a contribution to these two amazing causes, I would be very grateful. I will keep you all updated via social media during my hike and I'm sure I will appreciate any messages of support to keep me going!
