This will be my first marathon after having a baby just over 12 months ago. I'm no stranger to marathon running - it'll be my 13th road marathon and my 5th of the 6 World Majors. But this is the first time I'll be taking on 26.2 miles since being pregnant and giving birth.
I want to use this opportunity to raise some funds for PANDAs Foundation. The Foundation supports mums and dads who are dealing with peri and postnatal depression. This is a charity close to my heart, after struggling myself with postnatal depression following the birth of my daughter.
I’m also really excited to be trying something a little different with my fundraising this time. I’ve set up a GiveWheel Split DonorLed page, which means that every donation you make will be split between my charity, PANDAS, and the charity you choose. I really love this approach because it’s not just about raising money - it’s about building a community around the challenge and I can’t wait to see the mix of charities I’m running for!
