In January of this year, I turned 50. To mark this milestone, and to celebrate the lives of my Sister in Law, Cousin and a good friend I am taking on a challenge to run 100+ miles over three events in September and October: two marathons and one ultra marathon.
This challenge isn't about running. It’s about honoring the memory of three very special people who left a lasting mark on my life:
The first Julie, my very dear sister-in-law, who bravely battled cancer with the support of the compassionate team of professionals at the Lingen Davies Trust and more recently Severn Hospice.Secondly, my good friend Holly, who received incredible support from the nurses at Compton Care in her final weeks. Finally my wonderful cousin Martyn, who spent his final days in the loving care of St Wilfrid’s Hospice in Eastbourne, who should also have turned 50 in 2025.
These charities gave so much to my loved ones—and now I want to give back.

I’m incredibly lucky to be joined by my running besties Jenny Waters and Helen Yates, who’ve bravely (and slightly madly!) agreed to run all three events with me.
If you can support us—whether by donating, sharing, or cheering us on—you’ll be helping to celebrate life, honor loved ones, and fund the vital work of these four charities.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart 💙
