We help British Eventing competing members who are recovering from an equine related injury or coping with mental health challenges.

The British Eventing Support Trust

The British Eventing Support Trust is a registered charity dedicated to supporting the physical and mental well-being of British Eventing's competing members. Founded in 2021, we understand the unique pressures and challenges faced by riders in this demanding sport and are here to assist in the event of an accident or mental health challenge.

Our support includes everything from contributions to physical rehabilitation to sharing our expertise and resources and providing an understanding ear during tough times. Plus, we run a free and confidential 24/7 mental health helpline, provided in partnership with Sporting Chance. This helpline offers immediate, professional assistance to riders dealing with mental health issues, ensuring they never have to face their struggles alone.

We are excited to support the Cycle 4 Caroline challenge and wish the team, including our Chair of Trustees Ian Stark, the very best of luck. As a charity 100% funded by donations, we rely on the generosity of supporters like you. Please donate now and help us continue providing vital services to British Eventing’s competing members!

"I don't think anyone can truly understand the invaluable work that the BE Support Trust does until you need them. After my fall, knowing that the BE Support Trust were there as a charity to support my recovery, took a huge load off of me and put my mind at ease. Of course I wish I wasn't in the position that I needed their support, but I am, and I am so grateful for all that they have done for me, and continue to do for many other eventers."
Bubby Upton --Self employed rider competing up to 5*.

"I cannot thank the BE Support Trust enough for their help with my injury. I am an amateur rider and work full time --luckily within the equine industry! Thanks to the BE Support Trust I was able to get the help I needed alongside very useful advice."
Joanna Green—Amateur Rider
