Hello everyone!
This year we (Katy Brown and Lorna Hellam) are once again using our love of sports to raise money for charities close to our hearts.
Death and sadness go hand in hand, but when a suicide happens, it’s hard not to feel just that little bit more for the person who’s lost their life along, with their family and friends. In the last year alone, we’ve personally heard of around 6 cases of suicide (all unfortunately men). This year, we want to do our part to help support those who are in a dark place and also those who’ve lost a loved one as a result of suicide.
That’s why we have created ‘12 Big Things’. This is a year long challenge where we will test ourselves over a number of different sporting events and challenges in an attempt to raise as much money as possible for SoBS and CALM.
Please follow our social media accounts for further updates.
Katy is fundraising in memory of her close childhood friend Andrew who tragically lost his life age 22.
Lorna is fundraising in memory of her neighbour Kieran who sadly lost his life this year.

We are the only organisation offering peer-to-peer support to all those over the age of 18, impacted by suicide loss in the UK. We help those bereaved by suicide to support each other, at the time of their loss and in the months and years that follow. We are a self-help organisation and we provide a safe, confidential environment in which bereaved people can share their experiences and feelings.
